  “I have taken my dog to Alamo Heights Kennel Club about 6-7 times. It was good at first. They always do a good job grooming. The staff has never been friendly or even had a smile on their faces. Many times when I have called to make an appointment I have had to leave a message on the answering machine. Two days pass and I have never received a call back so I have to call again until I catch a live person. The service has progressively gotten worse over the past year. About 3 months ago I left my dog to be groomed. My mother was in the area and so I asked her to pick him up for me (saving me a trip to AH from downtown.) When she did, they sent my dog home without his collar or his leash! When I called to ask if those items were there they said yeah. No apology, nothing. I drove all the way back to AH to pick them up. When I walked in and said I'm here to pick up the collar and leash the 3 women behind the counter just looked at me. One went to the back and got the items. She came to the front and just handed them to me. No apology, no friendly sorry about that! nothing. I took it, said nothing, and left. I decided to give the business one more try. I dropped off my dog yesterday. When the woman at the counter took him from me to go back to the grooming room she just yanked the leash and was essentially dragging my 50 pound dog to the back. She was looking down at a piece of paper the whole time, paying no attention to what she was doing! If they treat my dog that way in front of me I am worried about how they treat him in the back. When I picked him up his groom looked good, however, both of his eyes are completely red and bloodshot around the edges. There are 3 scabs around his genitals from where he was cut during the grooming. (I am positive these were not there previously as I brush my dog about 3 times a week.) When I picked him up, again the staff was not friendly and have never cracked a smile. I have decided that is the last time they will have my biz.”
