  “We thought we had found a good solution to taking our golden doodle to a regular grooming salon so we tried Going to the dog mobile grooming. Mary showed up on time, but was not very personable at all. We showed her the cut that we wanted and she insisted it was too short. Last time I checked it was my dog and I can have him cut as I wish. After being in the trailer for about 30 mins we got a call saying that he was matted around his private areas and would need to be trimmed shorter, which was fine with us because we wanted him short in the first place. 2 hours later our dog came running in the door and Mary told us that he was a little hard to handle and we needed the dog whisper, funny because he has never had any bad reports from other groomers. After she left we took a look at him only to notice that he was scratching a lot and had horrible razor burn all over his body, even bleeding in spots around his private areas. To make matters even worse he REAKED of cigarette smoke. He came in smelling worse then when he left! We had to give him a bath immediately after paying 120 dollars to have him bathed and groomed. I don't know if she was smoking while grooming him or what, but I think it is highly unprofessional either way. We will NEVER use this company again and put our dog through what he had to go through today. By far the worst grooming experience ever.”

  “My dogs are old, 13 and 15. They have sensitive skin and quite a few other skin issues. I don't know how Mary does it, but she makes them look beautiful every month. I am so happy I found her. I trust her so much with my 'babies'. She is really good and careful.”

We tried going to various pet grooming places in the past, but all of them fell short on either customer service or finished product. Going to the Dogs is so convenient and they do a fantastic job each and every time. You can tell the staff are true animal lovers in the way they handle our pet with care and compassion. I would recommend Going to the Dogs as your mobile groomer to anyone who asks!”

  “Holding down an aging dog would be unprofessional, and could lead to a stressful situation, and health issues, such as heart attack, seizure and stroke. This should have been explained to you rather than just walking away.
  
  Check your local veterinarian offices. When I have a senior pet that I feel is no longer safe to be groomed without veterinary supervision, I refer to a groomer at a vet's office.
  
  Humanity over vanity at all times. With an aging dog, sometimes the groom will be less than perfect for the safety and comfort of the pet. Good luck to you.

  “After using Going to the Dogs exclusively for years I was extremely disappointed to witness the owner's unprofessionalism and complete disrespect for both my dog and my mother. Mike brought our dog back from his truck and said she was ungroomable and walked away. That's it? After 10 years we just have to find someone new because our aging dog doesn't stand still for him anymore? He even had someone helping him! If those two people could not hold down a 14lb Lhasa Apso then I guess he's not the right person for the job anyway. Very disappointed.”
