  “I brought my dogs Kate and Lady. Lady is a short haired Chihuahua whom needed a simple bath. But Kate is a shih tzu whom I had left ungroomed for longer than recommended and she isn't the nicest dog. PPP is a small business but they work miracles! Lady got her bath and they trimmed her toes. Kate came out unmatted and with an adorable trim which was exactly what I wanted plus she smelled beautiful. The staff were friendly too! No more do it yourself washes, I'm sticking with Portland's Pampered Pets!”

  “This is my dawg's second trip to Pampered Pets on Hawthorne. The first time I watched the groomers work and liked the way they worked with the animals, so I returned. I am amazed how hard these folks work and yet they keep a steady hand and attitude with their clients. They have been a bit late each time--but I figure it comes with the territory.”

  “I've been taking my two schnauzers to Portland Pampered Pets for 7 + years. When I first brought them in she immediately explained to me how our prior groomer was not giving them a proper schnauzer cut. One of our dogs has wirey hair and is easier to groom, the other dog's hair grows really fast and is extremely bushy, so he sometimes dreads. You can't comb out dreads, you have to cut them, but she always tried to work through this and give him the best cut possible. They are often running behind, but the end result is worth the wait, so if you want to pick them up at 5:00 tell them you need to pick them up by 4:00, or just give them a number and have them call you when they are done. It is not like they keep the dogs locked in dirty cages, they have a back area where dogs can go to the bathroom.”

  “I have been taking my schipperke to pampered pets for several years for nail trimming. The groomer stops what she is doing and trims quickly, never too short, and never has made him bleed. The cost is low and the service is very caring.”
