  “Your dog's behavior made them unable to safely trim his nails. I charge more for difficult dogs as well, and I do what I can safely do for the pet, as well as watching out for myself. I, and most groomers, refuse to stress out the dog.
  
  I don't know that I would have discounted.
  
  Asking the owner to help is not unheard of either. Sometimes dog will do better and feel more comfortable with the owner there. Sometimes they will do better without. Trial and error.
  
  Also, I cannot post without giving stars so I picked right in the middle. I have never gone to this Petco and cannot say what I would rate them. Just trying to give another groomer's opinion.”

  “I went to get my dog's nails clipped and I told them how he's very sensitive about his nails. The associate told me it should take about 10 mins, so I returned about 10 min later. I was told that they were unable to trim about 3-4 of his nails because he was being VERY difficult. They went on to tell me about the events that transpired and gave me the bill. I explained to them that I shouldn't be responsible for the entire $10 because they didn't cut all of his nails and now I will have to go home and attempt to cut them myself. The rude associate suggested that I sit on my dog to hold him down while they trim his nails, I didn't understand why even bother to bring him in if they wanted my help. We argued for a while and finally the rude girl grabbed my receipt and threw it in the trash and didn't say a word to me. Another rude associate told me not to bring my dog back. At this point I still was expecting to pay something for what they had done, so I stood there. After a couple minutes I asked another girl how much I owe and she said nothing I was free to go. I don't think I should be responsible for unfinished services, but I did want to compensate them for the work that they did do. I don't recommend getting your dog groomed there because of their inexperience and lack of customer service skills.”
