I love this place! The owner is fantastic and caring and would never hire a groomer who would hack a dog as mentioned in "Extremely Dissapointed". That story almost sounds too awful to be true. I have never had this kind of treatment at Shawnee Hills Pet Grooming and I have been going there for 10 years. Oh, and by the way, my dogs have always done the same thing with drinking a lot of water after being groomed even at other places...they get nervous.

I have been going to this shop since they opened 13 years ago. Im not sure what the previous guy is talking about because these people are caring professionals.I recommend them to all my friends and family and i havnt heard anything but good comments.

We have taken our dog there two times now. The first time it ended up costing more than they originally told us due to extra work.. This time, it was not even half the work as last time and they charged us the same. $90 to shave a dog is ridiculous. They also do not listen to what you want for the dog. We asked for them to take off half the existing length and they pretty much shaved it to the skin. We also specifically asked for the inside of the ears to be plucked and they were not done. The shaving is very uneven. It looks like his ribs are sticking out - it's so bad. We are taking him somewhere else to get his hair fixed. We could have done this same cut ourselves at home with our clippers and saved the headache and money. Also, as soon as we left the shop, our dog urinated for almost a minute straight. It was quite obvious they did not take the dog out to potty, even though they had him for 6 hours. As soon as we got home he drank a ton of water, so it doesn't look like they gave him anything to drink either. I would call this neglect and abuse. We WILL NOT be returning.
