Cobble Hill Bed and Biscuit Incorporated

I worked at Cobble Hill last year for a VERY short time. On my first day, I was given the task of cleaning out a VIP suite after it had been used by a pug. There was a lot of blood splashed up the walls, on the floor and in the water bowl. I spoke to a colleague who was helping me as I was concerned and she told me that,"It is not the first time this has happened. The groomer is particularly abusive towards the dogs". After I returned home that day, I received a call from the manager's assistant telling me not to go back and that it wasn't working out. It seemed ironic that I had had a conversation that day about some very questionable goings on there and may have been overheard. I did nothing to cause my termination and I showed willing when asked to complete tasks I was given. I WOULD however have resigned under the circumstances anyway!! I have moved on but I happened to be on a different website today searching for a local kennel for my own dog and noticed a sad review about a pug at Cobble Hill. It reminded me about my sad experience there which was also related to a pug and just wanted people to be aware of the risk. I WOULD NEVER EVER BRING MY DOG THERE and it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that they let me go. I just love my dog too much and I care about all animals and their welfare. If you do decide to board your dog there (although I cannot imagine why you would), do yourself a favor and ask to see where your dog will be boarded, speak to each member of staff AND do this without an appointment so they cannot quickly hide anything. REMEMBER - you are not there with your animals and you only get to see them when they are returned to you in the front lobby.
