BEWARE.....Matthew Kurtz and his staff are NOT properly trained to be grooming dogs. My dog suffered a SEVERE broken leg while being groomed at the Dapper Dog in Lynbrook NY. That day was one of the worst days of my life! Not only was my dogs’ leg broken from the table falling on it, but the break was so bad that the bone was sticking out! The groomer, whose name shall not be mentioned, had no idea how to handle the situation and called 911. Thankfully I was in the area and was able provide immediate medical attention to my dog. Matthew Kurtz, the owner, was no where to be found and it took days to reach him. He gave my family the run around for weeks. Finally, after he bounced a check his poor mother had to pay for my dogs medical bills. Thankfully my dog survived this horrific accident and I pray she will continue to thrive.
