disorganized----no proper paperwork, barely looked at dogs’ records. play area = dogs, regardless of size or temperament grouped together, couldn’t see a staff member watching dogs, dogs all ran to the gate barking and lunging at us and our dogs. No one told them to stop or corrected this inappropriate/aggressive behavior. Outdoor area = nearly empty, hot sun, no shade, no drinking water, no potty area. When the employee told us that we needed to leave our dogs and that we couldn't watch the temperament test, that was the last straw. Anyone that won't let you watch something they're doing with your dog isn't trustworthy and something isn't right.
Atmosphere poor, noisy, no one interested in our dogs or happy to be there. My local playcare is run by professionals who work with the dogs on manners (they do not allow barking/lunging) and who truly love their jobs. I would never let my dog stay here. You can find better, proper, safe care for your dogs.

The people who wrote this review did not show up with the proper paper work. We called their vet and had the papers faxed over. Our daycare dogs are never left unsupervised and the dogs that are there are not aggressive in anyway (they have all undergone temperament tests and passes, and those who did not pass were not asked to come back). Our temperment tests are done without the owners present because we will not be able to see their true personality with them standing there, and there is nothing untrustworthy about letting their dog play with my australian shepherd to see if it gets along with other dogs. After we see they are fine with my aussie we then bring out my golden and after that we gradually introduce them to more of our daycare dogs. Our outdoor area is the potty area with three swimming pools and two overhead awnings. The daycare dogs are brought out there at least every 2 hours. Even out side our daycare attendant is with them (she is a lisenced Vet Tech)and watches them at all times. Our outdoor area also has the same doggie playground equipment that the daycare had plus numerous balls and rope toys. The atmosphere in our store is only noisy because of the dryers running in the grooming room, but once in the daycare room you can not hear them anymore. Like I said before our daycare attendant is a Vet Tech, our receptionist has been breeding and showing her old english sheepdogs for years, our kennel manager has started to train and show dogs, the owner (my mother) has been training and showing dogs since she was 6 and learned all she knows about grooming from my grandmother who is also a dog groomer. She started her grooming at the local animal hospital with one of our other groomers who came with my mom when she opened this shop. Our third groomer went to grooming school and is a great addition to out team. I have been training dogs since i was 8 and work as a groomer in Kalamazoo while I go to school. There is nothing poor about our business, the amount of time put into this shop, my parents sold there house so they could live in an apartment above the kennel to keep an eye on the place, and to say these people don't love their job is just slanderous. These people in question came in last week and were not happy that they had to bring in their dogs shot record, "why could we just not take their word for it," and were fine with everything until we said they could not stay for the temperament test and they just left.
