Four Paws Only Incorporated

My mother brought her Maltese puppy in to get a "puppy cut" style and she even brought in a picture of this and she specifically said she didn't want her dog shaved; and when she picked her up, they completely shaved her and she didnt even look like the same dog. While my mother was in the waiting area, they had her pay $50.00 first before she had seen her dog and they said they had to cut her more than they thought. They said she was a little matted (I do not believe this since my mother brushes her every single day with a special brush.) My mother and father were very upset with her cut, which was very choppy and uneven, it looked like an amateur cut it. I called later that day to complain and left a message; I called back again on Tues. a.m. to speak to the owner, which she wasn't available. I spoke to the person that dealt with my mother, and she proceeded to tell me the whole situation. My complaint was that it wasn't at all what we asked for and that they should have called my mother before they made that decision on their own. THAT WAS WRONG and a BIG MISTAKE. You don't take the liberty to completely shave a dog when the owner specifically requested they don't want that. It wasn't their judgment call to make, since it wasn't their dog. This is suppose to be a professional establishment, claiming to be an award winning pet specialist, but they are not specialized in CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. I expressed how upset and unhappy we were and that we wanted a REFUND ($50 charge) and they would not do this. I may have decided to give them another try, if they were willing to somehow offer some kind of satisfaction, but they wouldn't. I DO NOT recommend Four Paws to anyone.
