I would never send my dogs there again. After 8 days, I picked them up and they were emaciated. One lost 9 lbs. and the other lost 11. You could see their rib cages and their spines. It was absolutely horrifying. They also had fleas, which they had never had before (they are three years old). Additionally, the owner/caregiver committed to keeping them in her house and, when I picked them up (unexpectedly), I found that they were in the garage.
It was next to impossible to get the caregiver to answer the phone when I would call. I had to leave several messages and was only called back on two occasions. When I did finally get ahold of her, I was told that they were "doing great"; obviously that was not the case.
I was absolutely mortified with my experience. If you use the caregiver, I hope you have a better experience than I did.

We have been using It's Raining Cats and Dogs for over 5 years and have always been pleased with our experience. We first began using them when our older dog was a puppy and we wanted a more personal, family experience than a kennel. We got just that - a loving home with kids and a big farm for the dogs to romp and play. This definitely exceeds the typical boarding experience. We now have 2 dogs. We've used them for short weekend trips as well as week plus trips and our dogs have always been well cared for. Our dogs always appear excited upon arriving at the farm as well as happy when we pick them up. We definitely can, and have, recommended Its Raining Cats and Dogs to our friends and neighbors.

I was scared to leave my dog anywhere new but these people put me at ease. I went here for boarding not grooming though. The owner talked to us for at least thirty minutes. And as soon as we walked in the door she took my dogs leash off of her and let her run with her dogs. The last time she was there she didn't want to come home. I had to drag her to the car.
