When I took my dog into the self wash they had a groomer calling her dog stupid and shoving and poking at it. Will never go back

Bad Business Practices

After working there for 5 months I discovered that Designer who prides themselves on a family christian based small business is not what they seem to be. They were and still are stealing over 50% of tip money from there groomers. They also hire 1099 workers to get out of paying certain taxes but in fact they should be hired as employees according to GDOL. Small business are taking advantage of this and Designer Dog is one of them. If you are a groomer do not apply to work here unless you like being lied too.

We were traveling through Marietta, Ga. and our mini Schnauzer was due to be groomed. After checking on Google, I decided on Designer Grooming. My appointment was with Courtney. She may be good with other type dogs but do not take a Schnauzer to her to be groomed. My dog Zoe has gaps all around her mouth and her eyes are in zig zags. It is quite awful to see. While hair does grow, the pattern grows with it. I am very disappointed and intend to call and let her know as well as alert others with Schnauzers by writing this review. The overall staff were friendly and said called when Zoe was finished as promised.

We took our rescued terrier mix to Designer Dogs recently and were very pleased with his treatment. Since he had been shuffled from place to place we felt like he needed special treatment. He is a little unsure of people since he was previously mistreated. The groomer was gentle and understanding and treated him the way he deserves to be treated. She mad a point of telling me how he did and what little grooming he would require.

Designer Dog is close by so we thought we'd try it. We have utilized their services numerous times -- we've been quite happy with their grooming and gentle treatment of our Mini-Schnauzer, Miss Willie.
