Barking Lot The

If you truly love your pet, DO NOT take your pet here. Unprofessional, questionable as to how they treat their pet clients. I took my 4 1/2 month old puppy here, this was his 2nd grooming trip as we are trying to get him used to the process. When I came to pick him up, I see that they only were able to shampoo and brush him out which I understand (although the first groomer we took him to at PETCO was able to trim his face and tail as well as nails). But I knew my puppy is pretty active, and I wanted them to just do what they could for this trip. They were very quick to say to me that he bites and accuse me of not brushing him because he bites. And that I didn't tell them this. I am aware that he "bites," but he is a puppy and is teething and as a professional pet groomer, you would think that they know that some puppies can bite and the grooming process is not so easy. I didn't know I had to report all of his behavioral tendencies to them since I think they've seen it all and have dealt with it all. Then for the rest of the afternoon/evening after his trip to the Barking Lot, we notice that our puppy is not acting like his usual active happy self. He is rather lethargic, walking around, quiet, not really playing around. Trip to groomers seemed to wear him out... And to top it all off, when I left the shop, I was told the total was $35 and signed the credit card slip for $35 (for just a shampoo & brushout) but my bank statement is reflecting a $55 charge. I call the shop to try and reconcile the overcharge, but I am asked 3 times what they did for my dog, I tell them just a shampoo and brushout. For some reason, they can't look me up in their records and say I have to wait until after the weekend to rectify the situation because "now is not a good time." They continued to question me as to what they did for my dog, if there were two transactions, etc... I tell them I am looking right at my receipt and bank statement. So much for "the customer is always right." The associate on the phone speaks to my boyfriend as well and says that we have to bring in the receipt. My boyfriend says we have it and we will bring it in which is when she threatens to call the cops if we come in acting "ignorant and stupid." And then she hangs up. Ignorant and stupid? Ok. Please do your research before taking your pet here or any place else. You want to make sure you leave your pet in the hands of people who will treat their pet as their own. This is my first time putting up a review on the web, but I felt it was important that other pet owners know.
