the smell might be bad, but it's a pet store- what do you expect?? with all the stuff in the small store, it must be hard to keep as clean as a larger store like petsmart. they could probably do a better job keeping the place more clean, organized, and more open and friendly, BUT what's more important is that the people are very nice, the customer service is awesome, and they are even willing to negotiate prices - you can't say that about petsmart! i don't recommend buying a cat or dog from them as they aren't all that healthy (as to be expected of pet store cats and dogs...), but all the rest of the types of animals are fine.

of course the store is going to smell bad, they can't afford all the ventilation stuff which the larger pet stores have. try going to petsmart and sticking your nose right up to the birds/fish/small animals/reptiles and you'll see that they stink as well! petsmart is just more ventilated than valley pets.

this is the worst place ever the smell is so horrible as soon as you walk in the door. i feel sorry for the pets that have to be in that place. it should be shut down.
