Scizzors and Suds

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE: Horrible grooming, dishonest owner... I took my two Shepherds here for bathing and a boot cut (trim of lower leg and hair between the pads & toes). I explained what I wanted IN DETAIL to 2 different people. First, the gal behind the counter who said that she was not a groomer and was not sure she understood. So I asked to speak with the groomer, Olga, who had done both dogs before. She kept nodding and saying, "Yes, yes, I understand." So I left my dogs there, ran some errands and returned home about an hour later. When I arrived home there was a message waiting for me from Jennifer, the owher of Scizzors n Suds. She wanted me to confirm that I wanted my dogs' hair cut, because "they don't usually trim Shepherds." I called back immediately and said that this was certainly NOT what I wanted and she informed me that they had already cut (he was actually shaved) one of my dogs. When I told her that I had just spent almost $200 registering him for a show on June 1st, she flippantly replied, "Oh, it will grow back." Then, adding insult to injury, she insisted that this is what I had asked for. She never apologized and never took ANY responsibility for the screw up. This, despite the fact that her phone call to me clearly indicated that she thought something was wrong. (I have no idea why she didn't call before touching either dog and she offered no explanation when I asked.) I was absolutely sick. When I went to pick the dogs up and saw my show dog, I completely lost it. He LOOKED HORRIBLE. He had been shaved very short down to his second coat, with the tail and tummy left long. He looks absolutely ridiculous. This woman does not deserve to be in business. Everyone makes mistakes. If she had apologized and perhaps offered a free grooming next time, I would still have been upset, but not angry. It really got to me that she absolutely refused to admit that she or her groomer had done anything wrong AND she kept insisting they only did what I'd asked for. I HATE THIS PLACE and I am telling EVERYONE I can about my experience there. My vet's office, having heard other complaints about Scizzors n Suds, agreed to take her business cards off of their reception counter. I am going to show the dog to the people I purchased him from who are also customers of Scizzors & Suds.
